LE JEU EN UNE PHRASE

Abako Daily est un jeu quotidien gratuit de calcul mental : chaque nuit à minuit, 5 tirages de nombres — de l'échauffement au boss — identiques pour tous les joueurs. On combine les nombres avec + − × ÷ pour fabriquer le nombre cible, sans chrono, sans compte, sans installation.

L'HISTOIRE

En août 2024, France Télévisions arrêtait « Des chiffres et des lettres » après 52 ans d'antenne — et « le compte est bon » perdait son rendez-vous quotidien. Un an plus tôt, le New York Times avait déjà enterré Digits, son jeu de nombres quotidien, laissant ses joueurs orphelins.

Abako Daily reprend ce jeu patrimonial et lui donne les codes des rituels quotidiens modernes nés avec Wordle et ses héritiers français (Sutom, Cémantix) : un seul rendez-vous par jour, le même défi pour tout le monde, un score en étoiles à partager sans divulgâcher la solution, une série à entretenir, et des archives avec les solutions de la veille.

Le jeu est développé en France par un développeur indépendant, dans l'univers rétro-arcade d'Abako — la salle d'arcade du calcul mental, où votre vitesse de calcul a un classement ELO et où l'on affronte 33 boss aux ceintures de karaté.

ANGLES POSSIBLES

• « Des chiffres et des lettres » a disparu de la télévision — le compte est bon renaît en jeu quotidien en ligne.
• La vague des jeux quotidiens à la Wordle (Sutom, Cémantix, Pédantix…) n'avait pas encore son jeu de calcul en français.
• Un « anti-doomscrolling » de 3 minutes : un seul défi par jour, pas de chrono, pas de notification, pas de pub.
• Le boss du dimanche : une difficulté qui suit la semaine, comme les mots croisés du New York Times.

THE STORY

In 2023, The New York Times shut down Digits, its daily numbers game — and its players never found a new home. A year later, France lost « Des chiffres et des lettres », the 52-year-old TV institution that inspired Countdown's numbers round. On both sides of the Channel, the daily numbers game had lost its daily appointment.

Abako Daily brings it back with the codes of the modern daily rituals born with Wordle: one appointment a day, the same puzzle for everyone, a star score you can share without spoiling the solution, a streak to keep alive, and an archive with yesterday's solutions.

The game is built in France by an indie developer, in the retro-arcade universe of Abako — the mental-math arcade where your calculation speed has an ELO rating and 33 bosses with karate belts stand in your way.
